The Mozilla Firefox Browser rocks, but I use Internet Explorer sometimes for one or no reason. Actually, I was checking my webblog with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and found one image looking weird. It was a PNG graphic included in the post from yesterday titled Fire in the House. First I tried to reload the page, but it doesn’t solved the behavior. Next I researched Google and saw, it was a common trouble.
After I realized the problem, I tried to find a solution — I don’t like transparent GIF files and their low quality. Soon I found a website explaining how to solve the issue. It sounded simple so I went ahead.
I followed the guideline and created a file called pngbehavior.htc and uploaded it to the main directory. Then I added the appropriate style into the css file. Finally I created a transparent GIF file and uploaded it also. The last step was needles, because the png graphic was displayed correctly.
Thanks to Erik Arvidsson and his post at http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/pngbehavior/pngbehavior.html.
